2026 New York HOSA CE Rules
- HOSA students may participate in as many ONLINE ONLY Health Science Events as they can fit into their schedule.
- Chapters may have an unlimited number of their members participate in each ONLINE ONLY Health Science Events.
- Each competitor is limited to one (1) IN-PERSON EVENT or ONLINE ONLY Non-Health Science Event.
- Chapters are limited to three (3) teams/entrants per IN-PERSON EVENT or ONLINE ONLY Non-Health Science Event.
- Online tests must be proctored by a non-advisor staff member of institution where the chapter is chartered.
- All competitors from a chapter must take the same online tests on the same day. There is a two week window when ALL online testing must be completed. Each chapter can determine the schedule of testing that works for their chapter and members. Testing will be held from March 2-13, 2026. Students who are absent are not permitted to make up online tests if they miss the day it is administered. Online tests must be taken between 7:00am and 5:00pm. Online tests completed outside this time will be disqualified.
- For an event to run, there must be at least three (3) teams/entrants from at least two (2) chapters. Events not meeting these numbers will be canceled prior to the conference. Once registration closes , if your event is canceled you will be notified to select an alternative event.
- Competitors may switch events if their original event is canceled due to enrollment. No refunds will be given after registration closes.
- In events with only three (3) competitors, only a gold and silver medal may be awarded. In events with four (4) or more competitors, a gold, silver, and bronze medal may be awarded. The CE coordinators will set achievement thresholds that must be met for all events. If competitors scores do not meet these thresholds medals may not be awarded. No medals are awarded for Health Issues Exam.
