All attendees (state officers, advisors, chaperones) should arrive by 12:00 PM.
  1. Registration with the hotel – change into business casual attire.
  2. Lunch - State Officer meals are paid by NYS HOSA, chaperones must pay for their meals.

2:00-5:00 PM
  1. Meet in Conference meeting room at 2:00pm
  2. Introduction of State Officers to each other – team building activity to learn about each other
  3. Review and discuss the HOSA Mission Statement, Goals of HOSA, Goals of New York HOSA. All information posted on HOSA.org and newyorkhosa.org
  4. State Officers will recite New York HOSA creed from memory.
 
6:00-8:00 PM
Dinner – casual attire. Student Officer meals are paid by NYS HOSA, chaperones must pay for their
own meals.

8:15-10:00 PM
  1. Students will write an introductory speech to be given at FLC.
  2. Students will create bio to post on New York HOSA website
  3. Students will write letter to future self – to be given back at Spring Conference
11:00 PM Curfew

8:00-9:00 AM Breakfast - Student Officer meals will be paid by NYS HOSA, chaperones must pay for their own meals
9:00 AM-12:00 PM
  1. Leadership and team building activities
  2. Review State Officer responsibilities for each position and as a cabinet
  3. Public Speaking workshop – elevator pitch (What is HOSA?)
12:00-1:00 PMLunch - Student Officer meals will be paid by NYS HOSA, chaperones must pay for their own meals
 
1:15-5:00 PM
  1. NYS Fall Leadership Conference Planning
    1. Theme of conference
    2. Format of conference – create a program.
    3. Practice introductory speech to be given at the conference.
    4. Develop evening activities for attendees.
    5. Outreach for Keynote speaker
  2. State Officers will be introduced at the Board of Trustees Meeting. The President and Vice President will stay for the meeting (per NYS HOSA Constitution). Remaining officers will continue to work on NYS FLC Planning
5:30 – 7:30 PM Dinner – State Officers and Board of Trustees - Student Officer meals are paid for by NYS HOSA, chaperones must pay for their own meals.
8:00-10:00 PM
  1. Fall Leadership Conference Planning
11:00 PM Curfew

  1. Leadership and team building activities
  2. State Officer will take the Achievement Award exam
  3. Fall Leadership Conference – introduction of scripts for Opening Session, Second Session and Closing Session
    1. State Officers will edit/modify the scripts for the current board of officers
    2. Practice entrance/exit and reciting of scripts
  4. Review Parliamentarian Procedure - workshop
12:00-1:30 PM Lunch - Student officer meals are paid for by NYS HOSA, chaperones must pay for their own meals.
2:00-5:00 PM
  1. New York State HOSA newsletter and social media – assignment, themes, dates
  2. Continue to practice entrance/exit and scripts for FLC
  3. Continue to plan for program and activities for FLC
  4. New York State HOSA newsletter and social media - assignment
6:00-8:00 PM Dinner - Student officer meals are paid for by NYS HOSA, chaperones must pay for their own meals.
 8:00 – 10:00 PM
  1. State Officers will work on scripts, FLC planning, bios for website, speeches
