Hey HOSA members! My name is Frances Horrigan, your 2026-2027 New York State HOSA President. I currently attend Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart. Ultimately, I have the goal of becoming a nurse; specifically in the pediatric emergency department. Alongside my professional ambitions in healthcare, I am involved in my school's student council. Some of my hobbies include: skiing, playing soccer, going on runs and taking abstract photography! I spend my summers working at a Girl Scout camp, where I lead activities as a counselor and supervise the waterfront as a lifeguard. I'm looking forward to sharing new experiences, meeting new people, collaborating, and making this an unforgettable year!
Duties of the President
President:
Conduct meetings according to chapter bylaws and standing rules
Take the leadership role when working with officers and members
Develop Program of Work and coordinate activities with chapter advisor
Keep chapter meetings and activities on task
Appoint committees and serve as an ex-officio member
