Aanika Roy

Treasurer

Hello NY State HOSA Members! I am Aanika Roy, your 2026-2027 New York HOSA Treasurer! I am currently a senior at Pelham Memorial High School. After founding my school’s chapter two years ago, NY HOSA’s vibrant community has enriched my experience as an aspiring medical professional, and I am now honored to serve this community as a state officer. Beyond HOSA, I am involved in stem cell and genomics research at Weill Cornell Medical College, I serve as a co-president for my school’s science olympiad team, and I am passionate about encouraging young children to pursue science through my STEM Storytime program featured in libraries throughout my county. In the future, I aspire to be a physician-scientist bridging innovative laboratory research with its clinical applications as a cardiothoracic surgeon. Some of my hobbies include reading, swimming, playing the piano, and crocheting. I am so excited to meet you all!

Duties of the Treasurer

It shall be the duty of the Treasurer

• ​to assist the Executive Treasurer with the collection and deposit of dues and other receipts, deposits, and disbursements of Association funds
  
• to assist in keeping accurate records of receipts, deposits, and disbursements: to provide a complete financial report for the Annual State Spring Leadership conference
  
•  to assist in preparing the annual financial statement of the Association
  
•  and to serve the Association in any capacity as directed by the President.

Duties of the Regional Vice President

•  It shall be the duty of the Regional Vice Presidents, under the direction of the Senior Vice President, to promote and develop this Association in the region which elected them; to coordinate local chapter activities in their region; to work with the State Advisor and the local State Officer Advisor; to promote and participate in the regional student organization activities; and serve the Association in any capacity as directed by the President.
