Parliamentarian

 Hello everyone, I am JJ Hetzer, your 2024-2025 New York HOSA Parliamentarian. I am currently a senior at Pelham Memorial High School and I am enrolled in an Emergency Medical Services class at Southern Westchester BOCES. I hope to pursue a career in psychiatric health and make sure all voices are heard, while gaining my certification and enhancing my skills in emergency medicine. Although everyone here is from across the state with different circumstances we are all here to learn, lead, and experience the magic of HOSA. We will always be connected by the memories and experiences we have come across as New York State members of HOSA-Future Health Professionals.  Thank you.

Duties of the Parliamentarian

It shall be the duty of the Parliamentarian
  • to serve as an authority and consultant to the presiding officer at all Association meetings and rule on the points of order
  • call attention to all errors in procedure as observed
  • maintain for reference, and supply on demand suitable parliamentary references and the Association Bylaws
  • to serve the Association in any capacity as directed by the President.
