Hello everyone! My name is Diya Kaur and I am honored to serve as your 2024-2025 New York HOSA President. I am currently a senior at the Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart, an education intern at the Youth in Policy Institute concentrating on publishing civics curriculum, and a starting intern at the University of Buffalo focusing on Communicative Language Disorder research. Passionate about advocacy in underrepresented populations, I hope to pursue studies in the intersection of healthcare and policy/law. Some fun facts about me are that I earned a double degree black belt at age 10, and that I love music by Kendrick Lamar. I can’t wait to get started this year and grow along with the other officers in this role!

President:
Conduct meetings according to chapter bylaws and standing rules
Take the leadership role when working with officers and members
Develop Program of Work and coordinate activities with chapter advisor
Keep chapter meetings and activities on task
Appoint committees and serve as an ex-officio member
